Annie DeRossett was the first burial to take place in Oakdale Cemetery on February 5. Known as “Little Annie” by the family she was unfortunately the daughter of the founding and first President of Oakdale Cemetery Dr. Armand DeRossett. Lots in the cemetery were just beginning to be sold and auctioned off starting in late December of 1854 in to the winter and spring of 1855.
